Nursery Changing Table & Storage Built-In

This nursery built-in cabinet was custom built for a client to meet all of their needs for nursery storage and utility.

Built from floor-to-ceiling, this cabinet is equipped with a custom-fit changing station to accommodate everything a busy parent needs within arms’ reach. Storage cubbies in the back have just the right space for baby wipes and diapers, while the main area fits a changing pad.

Shelves are included above for baby books and toys, while storage cabinets below and on the right have ample space for other nursery items (doors in progress).

A tall drawer is also included below the changing surface for helpful storage

A hidden floor-drawer was built-in to the baseboard portion of the cabinet, allowing for space maximization and extra blanket storage space.

This project was built around a baseboard heating pipe that needs to be accessible for service, so hinged access was included in the cabinet base, removing the need to cut open the cabinet or make a mess in the future.

Finished in durable white enamel paint, the cabinet brightens the space. The back and left side of the cabinet were also painted in blue by request to match the nursery walls.

The underside of the lowest bookshelf was purposely not painted, and a primed panel was provided to the client so they could paint their own mural! A personal touch for one lucky baby!

The last remaining pieces to this project are the doors and drawer front.
